Hi peeps, I’ve been making a lot of half square triangles and Flying Geese units this past week! I’ve started a new quilt and I’m loving it a bit sick, it’s all I want to work on. It’s chock full of Sawtooth Stars though, and I discovered between making one border and adding the applique and then making the next one and starting the applique that I had inadvertently used two different methods to make the Flying Geese!
That got me thinking about all the different ways I knew to make squares using HSTs, and to make Flying Geese units, and which ones I liked and which ones I didn’t, and I thought you might be interested too.
This week it’s all about HSTs - I have not included using papers to make them, because honestly you DO NOT NEED THEM! It’s just another thing to buy in my opinion - mind you if you love them and you use them all the time then as always, whatever works best for you.
Next week I’ll do another little video about the Geese and the bunch of different ways to make them that there are, and which I think is easiest.
So start something with triangles! Or just follow along, thats good too 😊 Have fun stitching this week!
