Hello there StitchyMites,
I hope your Wednesday is shaping up to be grand. This week we’re continuing with our Spooky Town stitching. There’s a few little extra tips and tricks just for you. You will also find on the Tiny Town Sew Along blog (on the free section of the website, before you log in) that there are some videos of methods for making the trees and trunks.
This week for Spooky Town we are going to start sewing some ghosts! I’m going to talk about making those little jagged bits at the bottom, and also about drawing their eyes on so that they look spooky and haunted.
You can find the micron pens I talk about in the video HERE
If you want to find out more about my method of needleturn applique, or learn more techniques to help you with your quilt, you can take my online, on demand class, which is available HERE. And yep, because you’re StitchyMites you get a little discount…. 20% off when you use the code GHOSTIES, valid until Wednesday, October 18.
The Christmas Swap signups are now CLOSED. If you forgot to sign up and you’re desperately wanting to play, please email me firstname.lastname@example.org by 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) SYDNEY TIME, and I will add you before the partners go out on Friday afternoon. Once the partners have gone, sorry but that Polar Express has left the station!
Don’t forget that discount code, and also that the Spooky Town pattern is a free download for StitchyMites members. There are a couple more Halloween fabric packs from my stash left, and the Spoonflower fabrics will remain available ongoing.
Happy stitching peeps, and I’ll see you next Wednesday…. It's possible you might get a sneak peek at my 2024 Block of the Month pattern before it opens for subscriptions on the 15th. Shhhhh….
