Candy Shop was one of my first patterns, and is one of our most successful. The idea for it came from the sweet, fresh fabric. I had just come out of a long stay in hospital and the fabrics were breezing through my bad mood, reminding me of cherries and bunches of flowers, and even though hadn't sewn for nearly four months I just had to sit down and start. I made this top in an afternoon. 
 
Many of our beginners start with this quilt. They all love the idea of quilting the motifs into the plain squares. It looks good made in every colour of the rainbow, which is about how many we've seen it in.
