All you have to do is find a beautiful border and some coordinating stripes. This quilt is a great exercise in controlling a scrap project. You can put any scraps you please into the 36-patch blocks, but the stripes, triangles and blue squares in the second block and the floral border hold everything together and make order from chaos.
When I started this quilt, it was just going to be a quickie, to try to stem the tide of my overflowing scrap bins! As I sewed, the blocks just seemed to multiply and before long it was a single bed, a double, a king...and still my scrap bin overflows. Maybe I’ll have to make another one...
