It’s funny how things come together sometimes. I had been given a wonderful piece of red Vietnamese floral fabric by a friend, and I wanted it to become something spectacular as it was so beautiful. It was sitting on my bench in the studio to ‘percolate’ (I often leave things I want to work with lying around so I can see them), when a package arrived from South Africa. It had in it some amazing hand-stamped fabric that had caught my eye on Etsy. The two fell together, and when I added a box of Kaffe Fassett fat eighths I had been given at a show some months previously, I was in love!
