This quilt continues to fascinate me because there are so many different ways to make it. There is a bit of everything in this quilt: reproduction, 1930s, spots, stripes, Kaffe Fassett, brights, darks, soft tonal fabrics, scraps from my own quilts and scraps of quilts made for and by my friends.
Listening to music is something that seems to have woven itself into quite a few quilts in this book. Scott Joplin’s piano rag goes around in circles and sounds just how the quilt would sound if it got up and started to play! I can look at the circles and hear the piano dancing in my head, look at the fabrics and see the quilts of my friends and the colours of their laughter. I think it is my favourite quilt ever.
