This project actually started life because I wanted to theme something around the story of the Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. If you don’t remember the story, here’s a link to a lovely version

The mouse theme  gave me the idea for the little felt mouse. I was originally going to make him a pincushion but the needle sharpener idea popped into my head… so then I thought of thread and conditioner, and them all having a little safe spot to be together when you’re out with your EPP or your hand piecing or quilting. Travelling mice gave me the Mouse About Town… which turned into the Trip Around the World quilt. Yes people, these are the things I think about when I’m awake at 3am.
 
We have made some extra kits for this project as it’s been so popular, I am waiting on one or two components to come so they will ship late next week if you would like one. They contain absolutely everything except cardboard and thread that you need to make your Mouse roll - all the felt for the mouse, roll and mouse applique, the fabric for the lining and the mouse ears, beads for mouse eyes, walnut shells for his insides, velcro dots for closure and 6 teeny paper hexagons in case you want to make those little flowers for the roll.
 
I’ve also done some bundles up that are just the walnut shells, hexies, velcro and beads if you want to use your own colours.
