I loved the Whig Rose quilt as soon as I saw it. The blocks are just the kind of appliqué I love, and the birds are so lovely—I couldn’t wait to start. If you enjoy appliqué, you will love this quilt, too, although I fully appreciate that it’s a huge amount of work. To give your quilt the same scrappy appearance as mine, be sure to choose a wide range of different sized prints, from spots and checks to large florals and conversationals.
