I was having trouble with this project at first My natural preference tends to bright, happy, clear colours and I found the lavender fabric suite cold and hard to match. Thinking about the word 'cold' in relation to colour, I saw the grey fabric and the two together seemed to sing out Winter'.From there, the colour choices were easy. bright, lush greens for Summer, rich reds and deep oranges for Autumn and pretty pastels for Spring. Amazing! All these things seemed to work with the lavender once I had come to the concept. This quilt also uses one of my favourite tools, the 18-degree Wedge ruler. I can highly recommend investing in this ruler...I do caution you, however: it has a high addiction warning!
