It is quite a complex design, containing traditional piecing, Foundation Paper piecing, English Paper Piecing, needle turn applique and a lot more - however the book is broken down to be made in order of difficulty from start to finish, so you build on your skills as you sew. Each technique is explained and there is an option to buy accompanying videos.

When Sarah started to make this quilt in 2015, it was a bit of an experiment. She hadn't ever run a Block of the Month program before, and she had no idea how it would be received. She also knew that her format for a BOM would be slightly different - she's never one to do things in the "usual" way. As a result, this new Happy Days book comes to you as a rather unique proposition.

It is only one quilt pattern- however, it contains enough work to keep you busy for a whole year, broken out into chapters.
AND design is provided in 3 colorways.

It is quite a complex design, containing traditional piecing, Foundation Paper piecing, English Paper Piecing, needle turn applique and a lot more - however the book is broken down to be made in order of difficulty from start to finish, so you build on your skills as you sew.

This little quilt is making a big comeback! I first designed this quilt as a Material Obsession pattern when I owned the shop - almost 17 years ago now. It was one of the first - if not THE first - patterns ever published under the Material Obsession name.

I recently sold the original quilt, and the reaction from people seeing it online was so lovely I thought why not give it a comeback?

Obviously, nearly 17 years later, this fabric is no longer available.

Along with the pattern will come a series of short videos that are also hosted here on this website. There won’t be any applique instruction this time around, the video are an overview of how to make a nice pinwheel with an accurate centre point, some info and advice about the layout for the appliqué, and demos of how to work the simple embroidery stitches needed for the embellishment of the applique panels.
